Commercial Driver's Permit

Commercial Driver's Permit Photo

This class provides students with the knowledge necessary to pass the Federal and State of Minnesota Commercial Drivers License Permit. Course content prepares students for the following:

  • General knowledge test
  • Air brake test
  • Combination vehicle test
  • Pre-trip vehicle inspection test
  • Transporting passengers safety test
  • School bus endorsement test

Requirements:

  • 10-12 week commitment to the class
  • One of the following Reading test scores:
    • CASAS C and higher
    • TABE 11/12 M 442+
  • 21 years of age
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • No DWI’s, no speeding tickets in the last five years
  • No accidents in the last three years
  • Able to sit for long periods of time

  • 4/7/25 - 6/10/25
  • Monday/Wednesday
  • 5:30 - 7:30pm
  • Online with Google Meet

Registration:

You can register online or in-person at the Hubbs Center or Hub@Harding.

What Happens After the Class?

Upon successful completion of this course, students will need to take the behind the wheel training to complete their CDL. This training can be completed at Dakota County Technical College or through an independent trucking company who will provide the behind the wheel training once hired.
